Fusion Arrives On Phu Quoc With The Island’s First Beach And River-Front All -Spa Inclusive Resort

Wellness-inspired resort and hotel chain, Fusion, today announces the launch of Fusion Resort Phu Quoc, the sixth member of the Fusion family, joining properties in Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Using an abundance of natural coastal materials, and taking inspiration from the island’s traditional architecture and fishing culture, this low-lying, down-to-earth resort of 97 spacious, contemporary yet rustic thatched villas—each with its own private garden and pool—presents the modern traveler with a feeling of true openness, an opportunity to bring balance to the body and mind in a quiet, secluded and thoroughly reenergizing natural environment, right at the water’s edge.

Occupying a 20-hectare plot within the private bay of Cua Can, Vung Bau, in the north of Phu Quoc Island, the resort’s exclusive beach and river-front location provides plenty of cool breezes and spectacular over-water views. With villa sizes ranging from one to five bedrooms, it’s the ideal choice for solo travelers, couples, and families or groups of friends traveling together.

“We are delighted to expand Fusion’s unique brand further into Southeast Asia’s tourism market,” says Fusion’s Founder and CEO Marco Van Aggele. “It’s also extremely exciting to bring the concept of a wellness resort to Phu Quoc. We believe that vacations are the perfect opportunity to get fit, get healthy, and create some positive habits in your day-to-day routine.”

With the clear aim of creating a consistently unique hospitality platform, the company has introduced a number of groundbreaking hotel and resort concepts including its now famous “all-spa inclusive” service. Intended to help guests shake off the excesses of modern life, Fusion Resort Phu Quoc (along with all Fusion properties) offers daily spa journeys to all guests, at no extra cost – a concept not found anywhere else on the island, or in the region.

And it’s not just health and wellbeing that the team at Fusion Resort Phu Quoc are focusing on. “We also want our guests to get out and experience the local culture,” adds Van Aggele. “With a tourism boom in Vietnam, and especially on Phu Quoc over the last few years, we have seen a shift in the traveling patterns of international travelers. They are now more interested in unique local experiences than simply visiting famous landscapes and tourist attractions. This is where our ‘Fusionistas’ come in.”

Friendlier and less formal than a butler, yet far more personalized than a concierge, Fusion’s dynamic guest liaison team will do all they can to turn your vacation from “great” to “out-of-this-world amazing!”.

“So,” adds Van Aggele, “if you want a private tour of Phu Quoc’s lesser-known sights and attractions; if you want to organize a beach bonfire for your family, or perhaps you simply want to visit a local pagoda without a hundred camera-wielding tourists surrounding you, your personal Fusionista is there to help.”

In addition to providing a unique, playful and often surprising guest experience, Fusion also aims to create unique, playful and often surprising environments. From “floating” hammocks in the gardens, and walls made of seashells, to rotating “hidden” TV screens, Fusion Resort Phu Quoc finds the perfect harmony between contemporary design, rural charm, sensible ideas, and premier yet unpretentious comfort and style.

As with all Fusion properties, Fusion Resort Phu Quoc boasts a selection of informal dining options, including here a poolside tapas bar and a mouth-watering seafood restaurant, both offering indoor and outdoor seating and beautiful views of the ocean.

Alongside an international morning buffet, served in the magnificent Secret Garden restaurant, Fusion’s “anytime, anywhere” breakfast service invites guests to enjoy the most important meal of the day whether it’s midday or midnight and whether they’re by the pool, on the beach, or in the bath. “Why should you go hungry just because you missed the usual 6am to 10am time slot?” says Van Aggele.

“When Fusion began,” he adds, “we started to imagine how hotels and resorts would look if they didn’t follow everyday principles. In time, we hope that Fusion Resort Phu Quoc will become the top choice on the island for those seeking outstanding comfort and down-to-earth hospitality without the fuss and formalities of the traditional “luxury” beach-front resort.”
