Perfumer Stephen Nilsen of Givaudan paid tribute to the brand’s qualities by creating a fragrance for the woman who knows exactly what she wants: GUESS 1981 for women.
“I was inspired by the idea of a confident young woman; a woman who has a strong sense of self and understands her inner essence and identity. She has her own inner compass and her intuition guides her to follow her instinct,” Stephen says.
The fragrance is a sensory tale of quiet determination, with notes that are both sultry and subtle. It opens with a powdery violet and woody ambrette, which later transforms into tantalizing jasmine petals, sweet juicy pear, and sandalwood heart, while clean, textured woods and airy, sensual musks are noticeable. Like the Californian woman, GUESS 1981 for women is multi-layered when many dimensions to discover.
