The pleasure in dining at Dusit Thani Manila isn’t just in spoiling your palate — it’s also in discovering the story of a cuisine and gaining a better appreciation of Thailand’s culinary heritage.
Last September, select guests enjoyed the hotel’s signature dishes at the pre-launch of Benjarong, Dusit Thani Manila’s beloved Thai restaurant, at the majestic Mayuree Ballroom. The dining destination known for featuring delicious centuries-old recipes has been re-imagined and relocated within the hotel, and will open its doors to an eager public before the year ends.

Organized in partnership with the Royal Thai Embassy, the Benjarong’s pre-launch event was a big success. Highlighting the day was “Thai Culinary Delights,” an exclusive and up close and personal Thai cooking demo led by none other than Dusit Thani Manila’s resident Thai chef, Chef Ja.
Chef Ja was more than happy to showcase Benjarong’s classic dishes as well as modern takes on Thai favorites. With her audience consisting of guets from the Diplomatic and Consular community, other international organizations and the media clearly enjoying the session, she went the extra mile to explain what makes each dish unique and memorable, detailing how ingredients work together to create unforgettable flavors.
With Chef Ja’s cooking demo serving as a preview for what’s to come, Benjarong’s opening will truly be worth the wait.
